Mica - Found in nature in crystallized, thin elastic sheets that can be separated easily. They vary in color from pale green, brown, or black to colorless. We use mica for its beautiful gliding properties in a form that adds a beautiful light reflective glow to the skin. Bismuth Oxychloride - We use a very high grade of Bismuth that has proved to be worth the extra cost we incurred for this very special raw material. Also known as "synthetic pearl" and occurs in the earth's crust, it is non-toxic. This soft powder is used in cosmetics to impart a "pearlescent" appearance. This incredibly soft powder provides a creamy, smooth rich texture to the powders. Titanium Dioxide - Derived from Titanium, which is extracted from the minerals Rutile and Ilmenite. It is commonly found in cosmetics as a whitening agent and it is also found within sunscreens because of its impressive capability to block UV light. It gives the greatest covering and tinting power of any white pigment and it is listed in the FDA monograph as one of the purest and most effective active ingredients for sun protection. Zinc Oxide - Zinc is believed to encourage healing of skin disorders. It is insoluble in water. Used to protect, soothe and heal the skin. Also provides good sun protection Iron Oxides - Natural oxides of iron (iron combined with oxygen) varying in color from red to brown, black to orange or yellow, depending on the degree of water added. Inorganic pigments approved for cosmetic use, including the eye area. Retinyl Palmitate - A vitamin A derivative that is an essential skin nutrient necessary for healthy skin maintenance and repair. It is useful in cosmetics to moisturize dry skin and reduce excess oil. Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol - Minute amounts of some synthetic preservatives can be used to boost the preservative action of natural ingredients, providing protection against a broad range of bacteria, microbes, yeast and molds. Bacteria can break down ingredients in a product, making it less stable and effective. Food grade preservatives are used to ensure shelf life, hygienic and stability. Non-irritating, non-sensitizing and non-toxic. Rice Starch - Finely ground starch obtained from rice. Corn Starch - Finely ground starch obtained from corn.
